Delighted to have this image of Knoll Gardens just outside Wimborne in Dorset, highly commended in the Beautiful Gardens category of the International Garden Photographer of the Year Competition 13. Shot at 11.28am on 26th October, much later in the morning than a lot of the images I particularly like: on most sunny days the light would have become too brazen and contrasty to carry on shooting at this time, but the mist acted as a natural filter, softening and spinning the sunlight into something painterly and delicious.
