Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens' edges the path running through the Canal Garden, leading toward the folly framing a white drinking fountain in the Dell Garden at York Gate garden in July. Beds are planted with phlox, orange lilies, Verbena bonariensis and eryngiums.
