A gravel path edged with clipped box leads past a greenhouse and up the sloping garden at Dip-on-the-Hill, Ousden, Suffolk in August. Beyond is a standard Hebe stenophylla, clipped waves of Lonicera nitida and the trunks of Pinus pinea and Phillyrea latifolia.
