Double herbaceous borders leading towards the gardener's cottage at Gordon Castle Walled Garden, Scotland in July with planting including Salvia sclarea var. turkestanica, Hordeum jubatum and dark flowered Centaurea cyanus 'Black Ball'. A square dipping pond in the centre of the garden is surrounded by lush beds of lavender.
