Unspoilt and uncommercial Rousham is a thrilling survival of the early eighteenth century, designed by William Kent as a series of Arcadian set pieces incorporating temples, cascades, grottoes and bridges. A later walled garden features a dovecot, parterre and herbaceous borders. In April trained fruit trees are covered with blossom and tulips bloom. One of my images of Rousham from this shoot won the Beautiful Gardens category of the International Garden Photographer of the Year Competition 9
