Windy Hall, Windermere, Cumbria

Set on a fellside high above Lake Windermere this 4 acre garden is the creation of Diane Hewitt and David Kinsman who garden with nature rather than against it, appreciating the mosses, lichens and liverworts that living in an area of high rainfall brings. Includes quarry garden, woodland garden, 'Best Garden' and primula fringed pond. Shot on a perfect May morning a shroud of mist was tinged gold by the rising sun.
